Call for Applications - Mathematics Pathways Design Fellowship

The Mathematics Pathways Design Fellowship is a stipend fellowship for educators in Boston who want to improve the fourth year high school math course options for Boston Public School students. For too long mathematics has served as a gatekeeper through the Algebra-to-Calculus course sequence and we hope to change that. Our goal is to bring together passionate, knowledgeable, and creative individuals to design solutions that are targeted to improving the relevance of mathematics and increasing access to college and career opportunities.
Eligibility
- A current or former secondary math educator in BPS or an educator at a local institute of higher education (content area may vary) or currently or formerly teaching or tutoring for a high school math course
- Willing to commit to prototyping elements of your own design (e.g. a lesson or activity) with students during the rest of this year and/or the fall of 2025
- Able to commit to in-person days Tuesday, April 22, 2025 - Friday, April 25 [BPS April Break], from 9:30am to 3:30pm at the EdVestors office in Back Bay
Compensation
Participants will be compensated with an honoraria of $1,000 for their participation in the program, to be paid in three installments.
Applications are due by March 7, 2025.
