2024 Prize

Applications for the 2024 School on the Move Prize are closed.

Of the many schools that applied, EdVestors has selected a subset of semifinalists to share a fuller version of their data and stories. Congratulations to the following schools that made it to Round 2!

Eligibility

For the 2024 School on the Move Prize, all schools in the Boston Public School district serving students in grades K0-12 who have not won the Prize in the past 5 years (2019-2023) are eligible to apply. Recent past finalists are eligible. There are no MCAS-related eligibility requirements.

Criteria

Applicants will build an evidence base demonstrating progress, share their stories of improvement, outline relevant data, and describe the strategies that helped them realize improvement over the past 3-5 years.

The Prize will be awarded by the panel based on the following three criteria: Evidence of Improvement, Focus on Equity, and Relevance to Other Schools. See review tool.

Timeline

  • January 25: Round 1 application released
  • February–March: Office hours (highly recommended; sign up here)
  • Friday, March 15 at 5 PM: Round 1 submissions due
  • Week of April 8: Semifinalist schools invited to apply in Round 2
  • April–May (date TBD): Gathering for semifinalist schools
  • April–May: Office hours
  • Wednesday, May 15: Round 2 submissions due
  • August: Panelist review; up to three finalist schools selected and notified
  • Late September/early October (date TBD): Panel site visits to finalist schools; winner selected
  • Late October/early November– DATE TBD: School on the Move Prize Ceremony; winner announced
